ATHLETE PHILOSOPHY:

As I grow up in my volleyball career I want to because the best team player I can: to grow in skills, friendships, and knowledge. I believe that it takes hard work to accomplish our goals as a team, and we need to work together as a team to get to where we want to be. We have to believe in each other and our selves, and up lift one another to be the best we can.

AWARDS/ACCOLADES:

My swim team gave me a leadership award this year. I also have received over 200 ribbons and medals in swimming. My past school volleyball team has also honored me with a most valuable player award.

FAVORITE QUOTE:

“If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way; If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse”   -Jim Rohn

WHY I LOVE SSVBC:

I love SSVBC because they have helped me to grow in every way possible. They have taught me how to play to my best ability, and never give up while learning. They have gone above and beyond in helping grow as a athlete and a leader.

BEST MOMENT IN VOLLEYBALL:

My team was playing against our arch nemesis, it was only a scrimmage, and did not count for league play. They won the first two games, after a long fight to 27 points, but we won third and fourth games. We were half way threw the last game and it was 9 to 4, and it didn’t look like we would be able to beat them. After my serve my coach told be to stay in the game, instead of subbing out, like I usually do. I had only played back row and couple of times and did not feel experienced enough for such an intense game, but stayed in and played the best I could. When I got to middle back the other team had their best hitter outside, and the score was getting close to an end. When their outside hitter hit the ball feet almost straight to the 10’ line, I had no time but to rely on my instincts to be fast enough. Sure enough, I had made the dive, got to the ball right on time, and made a perfect pass! I had never had such a good defense in my life, and that was when the game turned around and Annie Wright came back to win the game! Our huge crowed went wild with over 50 people chanting about our great victory!
