COACHING PHILOSOPHY:  My passion is not only to teach the game of volleyball to players but also to provide an experience in that players learn to embrace the challenge when developing a new skill, learn how to compete graciously and to enjoy the journey of progression.

• This is Kristen’s first year coaching with South Sound Volleyball Club

• She has ran our SSVBC tryouts for the last 3 years

• Kristen is a native of Tacoma, WA

• She graduated from Central Washington University 09’ with a BS Accounting degree from Weber State University 94’ BS Business Administration w/Marketing Emphasis

  Mount Tahoma HS 90’

• She is Currently Finance & Operations Assistant @ Lighthouse Christian School

• Her Playing Experience includes:

  • USVBA's Indoor & outdoor Women's Open Division

  • Division I -4 year Full-ride athletic scholarship Weber State University (Big Sky Conference 90-94"). 

  • Mount Tahoma 90’

• Kristen has many years of Coaching Experience (23 + years) and is Currently Head Coach at Lighthouse Christian School.She has also coached:

  • Middle School Teams

  • High School Teams

  • Collegiate Teams

  • Club teams (U10 - U18)

  • Camps all ages

• BEST MOMENT IN VOLLEYBALL:   Receiving a Full-ride Division I athletic volleyball scholarship.  This scholarship not only provided me with the opportunity to play against the top players in the United States but also provided me with an education. The best part of my experience is that coaching provides me the chance to “pay it forward”.
