South Sound Volleyball Club

South Sound’s U-18 finished 3^rd overall in the power league tournament this past weekend at Impact Sports Academy.  The girls took 2^nd in pool play, taking a hard first match loss in 3 sets to Pacific Coastal VBC (25-19, 19-25, 11-15).  They won their next two matches against Olympic Premier VBC (25-20, 25-14)and Evergreen Jrs. VBC (25-16, 20-25, 15-5). 
During the elimination round, the girls just fell short losing their match against Gig Harbor VBC in three sets (25-19, 19-25, 11-15).  They finished the day on a high note by defeating and gaining some redemption by defeating Pacific Coastal VBC (25-16).

Assistant Coach Taylor Smith says, “It’s great to see the noticeable improvement with every tournament.”  The team heads down to Oregon for a tournament on March 25^th, 2012.
