Dear South Sound Coaches, Parents and Families:
We will continue to do our best to keep you updated with the COVID-19 issue.
We recognize that this situation is unsettling for many families and that uncertainty around school schedules, practices and tournaments is frustrating. Please know that we will continue to provide accurate and up-to-date information with you as promptly and frequently as the situation demands.
The PSR meeting today was to determine how to move forward. After Governor Inslee spoke at the press conference, it was made very clear that large gatherings are now prohibited.
Please be patient as we navigate through this process. That means limiting your emails, texts, and phone calls to the PSR, your coaches, and to the SSVBC email. This only creates more work and will limit all parties involved to fulfill their other responsibilities.
The region has suspended operations until March 31st. This means all tournaments will be canceled. We will not be practicing for the rest of the week, and no practices next week as well. We will resume on March 23rd as long as we have permission and facilities are open. We hope that the cancelations of future practices and tournaments will not be necessary. However, families should prepare for the possibility that more practices and tournaments could be cancelled.
PNQ at this time has been cancelled.
In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy and please keep in mind that this is for everyone's safety. More to come.
