                  *UPDATE*              July 25, 2020

We have been fairly silent at SSVBC because we have had no news or no good news lately.  We know the WIAA decision has a lot of you asking questions. The directors of SSVBC will do whatever the region decides is in the best interest of our players.   We will not be careless or reckless and will follow our state and governors’ guidelines to the strictest intent to keep athletes safe.    Please continue to stay tuned for more information from the region.

Email from the Region below:

Like many of you, we have been anxiously anticipating the WIAA announcement.  We have several options to present to our Board of Directors, Junior Advisory Board, and Club Directors over the next few weeks.  We hope to announce club plans in early August.  Our hope is that everyone can remain flexible as we navigate through these unknown times.

We can say that club Volleyball is going to forge ahead.  If there is a way to safely play this fall and winter, we will make it happen!  The Washington State Phase Plan will play a large role in what training and competition will look like in our region.  We are anticipating that club offerings will look different in Western Washington than it does in Eastern Washington and Oregon.  The latest from USAV is that the Junior National Qualifiers will still happen (Jan.-May) as a prelude to the Junior National Championships in summer 2021.

At this time we do not have concrete answers.  Rest assured we have many great minds considering all the possibilities!

Thank you for your patience,

PSR Staff

SSVBC is proud to announce that Ella Heckman, class of 2021 has committed to play her collegiate career at Carroll College!

Congratulations Ella!

Two of our own South Sound Volleyball U18 ladies have committed to play division one volleyball next season at Eastern Washington University!

Congratulations Lelei Rapanot-Alefaio and Casonndrah Polo

SSVBC is so proud of both of you!

Congratulations Angela Spoja!

SSVBC's Club Director, Angela Spoja, was offered and accepted the position of  First Assistant and Recruiting Coordinator at Eastern Washington University!

Angela is no stranger to EWU as she played volleyball for the Eagles from 1995-96.

Although Ang has stepped out of coaching for SSVBC to begin her new career in Cheney, she will continue on as Club Director of South Sound Volleyball Club.

Best of luck in your new adventure Angela!
