COACHING PHILOSOPHY:
I strive to foster a fun, positive, and supportive learning environment where players can develop and build upon strong fundamentals while strengthening skills to encourage growth both on and off of the court. I believe that working hard and never giving up are the keys to success and will be important tools throughout each player’s life. Through teamwork, I believe every day can be a new opportunity to learn and grow.

- Grew up in Honolulu, HI
- Graduated from Grinnell College with a BA in Sociology
- Began playing volleyball at age 8 and has trained to play every position
- Played setter, libero, and opposite at St. Andrew’s Priory School and Na ‘Opio Volleyball Academy in Hawaii. Played libero and occasionally set at Grinnell College for four years (two as co-captain), gaining several defensive player-of-the-week and all-tournament team mentions
- Assisted Na ‘Opio Volleyball Academy practices during summer and winter holidays from 2011-2015
- Assistant Coach at Grinnell College for the 2015-2016 season
BEST MOMENT IN VOLLEYBALL:
One of my high school’s senior nights had us facing off against a team that had previously been a Division I team and was expected to take our division, Division II. We came out scrappy and attacked smart, and you could feel the awesome energy on our side of the court. We were fired up, our coach was fired up, and the crowd was fired up. It was a true team effort and was definitely a memorable win.
