COACHING PHILOSOPHY: Athletics is becoming one committed to excellence. I believe every athlete should embrace 7 values. As an athlete and part of a team you will be accountable and authentic, meaning we are genuine and stand behind our decisions and actions. We are competitive by working to be the best on the court, in the classroom and in everyday life. Show diversity and respect through becoming one team who values each other’s differences and treats one another with dignity. And lastly working hard and having integrity. We will put our heart and soul into every endeavor and be honest and true in our actions and decisions. Coaches can teach fundamentals and skill, having passion and athletic drive is in the hands of the athlete that a coach can only grow not create.

BEST MOMENT IN VOLLEYBALL: My best moment in volleyball would have to be one of my first tournaments. Coach Jeff Grosshans put together an after school volleyball club that decided to enter a Puget Sound tournament. With no volleyball tournament experience, and little fundamental experience the only thing we had playing on our side was pure heart and a strong competitive desire to win. We ended up winning the tournament. I still use this as an example to athletes showing that teams full of competitive players is a dangerous team.
